How to Download and Use the Moodle App for Your Courses

Follow these steps so you can access your course from your phone using the Moodle App.

Steps for Students

1. Download the Moodle App

   • On your Android device, go to the Google Play Store and search for “Moodle.” Or use this: Moodle – Apps on Google Play Google Play

   • On iPhone/iPad, go to the App Store and search for “Moodle Mobile.”

2. Install and Open the App

3. Select or Enter Your Moodle Site

   • When you open the app, you’ll be asked to connect to your Moodle site.

   • Type or paste the URL: kids-academy.answeryes.com.au

   • If prompted to “Select your school,” search for or choose Answer Yes Academy (or the exact name you use).

4. Log In Using Your Usual Credentials

   • Use the same username/email and password that you use for the website version of the course.

   • If you don’t remember your password, use the “Forgot password” / “Reset password” option on the login screen.

5. Allow Permissions / Set Up Notifications

   • The app may ask for permission to send you notifications: this is useful so you can get alerts for new course activities, assignment deadlines, messages, etc.

   • You may also allow the app to access storage for downloading files (so you can access some material offline).

6. Find Your Course and Explore

   • Once logged in, tap My Courses or Dashboard to see courses you’re enrolled in.

   • Click into the course. You’ll see lecture/video pages, downloadable files, quizzes, etc.

   • You may also download some content for offline use if made available by the academy.

ℹ️ Key Details and Tips

• The Moodle App works best if mobile web services or “mobile access” is enabled on your Moodle site. If you get an error that the site can’t be used, let support know. 

• Ensure your device has internet access the first time you log in. For offline access later, file downloads must be permitted by the course.

• Notifications help you stay up to date: new announcements, assignment reminders, etc.

• App updates: keep the app updated so you get the latest features and bug fixes.
